13.18.13 OPTION (specifying options)
In the OPTION tag, specify the options for remote installation. This tag is used for the dcminst and dcmpack commands.
The following table shows the parameters that can be specified and their corresponding command arguments:

(1) Format
OPTION{ compress=whether-to-compress restore=whether-to-restore-at-upgrading reboot=computer-restart-after-installation processing_dialog=whether-to-display-processing-message-during-installation }
(2) Description
-
compress=whether-to-compress
Write Y or N to specify (for the dcmpack command) whether to compress software at packaging or (for the dcmcoll command) whether to compress files at collection.
When using a command argument for specification, write Y or N immediately after /u. When no value is specified in this parameter, N (do not compress) is set automatically.
-
Y
Compresses packages at packaging or files at file collection.
A compressed package is automatically decompressed when it is installed remotely. Compressing packages shorten the time required for file transfer, and enables you to save the space to store packages in the cabinet. Note, however, that compression and decompression require an extra time at packaging and remote installation, respectively.
-
N
Does not compress packages at packaging or files at file collection.
-
-
restore=whether-to-restore-at-upgrading
Write Y or N to specify whether to restore software when it is upgraded. You cannot specify this parameter for the dcmcoll command.
When using a command argument for specification, write Y or N immediately after /R. When no value is specified in this parameter, N (do not restore) is set automatically.
-
Y
Restores software when it is upgraded. When software is upgraded, the previous version of the software installed at a remote installation destination is backed up. If the remote installation of upgraded version of the software fails, the previous version of the software is restored by using the backup.
-
N
Does not restore software when it is upgraded.
-
-
reboot=computer-restart-after-installation
Write Y or N to specify whether to automatically restart the agent after a package is installed. You cannot specify this parameter for the dcmcoll command. When no value is specified in this parameter, N (do not restart) is set automatically.
-
Y
Displays a confirmation dialog box (on the agent) to ask whether to restart the agent after a package is installed. Clicking OK in the dialog box on the agent restarts the agent.
-
N
Does not restart the agent after a package is installed.
When using a command argument for specification, specify /reboot to restart the agent or omit the argument not to restart.
Among all computers in this system, only agent computers can be restarted automatically. Relay systems cannot be restarted automatically even when restart is specified for the package installed by remote installation.
For the notes on automatically restarting the computer and the cases disabling automatic restart, see 7.2.9 Options page.

processing_dialog=whether-to-display-processing-message-during-installation
Write SETUP, Y, or N to specify whether to display the dialog boxes indicating the progress of processing during installation of a package on the agent. The dialog boxes to be displayed are the dialog box indicating that a package is being downloaded and that indicating that a package is being installed. You cannot specify this parameter for the dcmcoll command.
When using a command argument for specification, write S, Y, or N immediately after /proc. When no value is specified in this parameter, SETUP (follow the setting on the agent) is set automatically. (When the command argument /proc is used, the default is /procS.)
-
SETUP
Determines the operation of the dialog boxes indicating the progress of processing according to the settings specified in Display settings for dialog boxes indicating that a job is being progressed under Job settings for agent configuration. The setting of this parameter might differ between the dialog box indicating the progress of downloading and the dialog box indicating the progress of installation. Even in such as case, the dialog boxes are operated according to the settings specified in Display settings for dialog boxes indicating that a job.
-
Y
Displays the dialog boxes indicating the progress of downloading and the progress of installation regardless of the settings in Display settings for dialog boxes indicating that a job is being progressed under Job settings for agent configuration.
-
N
Does not display the dialog boxes indicating the progress of packaging and installation regardless of the settings in Display settings for dialog boxes indicating that a job is being progressed under Job settings for agent configuration.
The following table shows whether the dialog boxes indicating the progress of processing are displayed according to the setting of the processing_dialog parameter and the settings in Display settings for dialog boxes indicating that a job is being progressed:

Assume that display of the dialog boxes indicating the progress of processing is specified for a package. Then, whether to display the dialog box indicating the progress of installation in the foreground follows the corresponding setting in Display settings for dialog boxes indicating that a job is being progressed.
