13.2.1 Types of commands
This subsection describes the types of commands related to distribution by using Remote Installation Manager, and classifies them according to purpose.

(1) Commands related to job creation and execution
These commands can be executed on the management server by a user who has permission to update the directory where JP1/IT Desktop Management 2 - Manager is installed. These commands connect to the managing server on the local host, and create and execute jobs.

(2) Commands related to packaging
These commands can be executed on the management server by a user who has permission to update the directory where JP1/IT Desktop Management 2 - Manager is installed. The dcmpack.exe command connects to the managing server specified by Packager, and executes packaging. Other commands connect to the managing server on the local host, and delete, back up, and recover packages.

(3) Command related to system configuration
This command can be executed on the management server by a user who has permission to update the ODBC system data source. This command connects to the managing server on the local host, and applies policies to all hosts in a host group.
