7.2.6 File Properties page
On this page, select how to determine the access permissions and owner of files after remote installation. The default is Use the permissions and owner of the installation directory. This page appears only when the Package type is set to Other companies' software or User programs and data.
- Use the permissions and owner of the installation directory
-
Creates new files according to the access permissions and owner of the remote installation target directory for a package. However, if a directory to be packaged already exists in the remote installation target directory, it inherits the attributes of the existing directory.
- Same as the JP1/ITDM2 standard values (access permission/owner)
-
Sets the standard access permissions and owner of JP1/IT Desktop Management 2. Values are set as below.
- When the remote installation target is Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, or Windows XP:
-
-
Folder and file access permissions
Administrators: Full control
SYSTEM: Full control
Everyone: Read and execution
-
Folder and file owner: Administrators
-
- Use the permissions and owner of the directory on the packager
-
Restores the access permissions and owner of the packaging source to the installation target.
- Important note
-
If you want to set the Use the permissions and owner of the directory on the packager option at the installation target, the owner of the files and directories to be packaged must be Administrators. In Windows XP, the default owner of files and directories is a logged on user. Note that the owner must be changed to Administrators before packaging. Even for Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2008, and Windows Server 2003, check that the owner of files and directories is Administrators before packaging.
