7.1.1 Starting the Packager
Package software by using the Packager (the JP1/ITDM2 Packager window). To output audit logs, start the Packager as a user who has the necessary permissions to update the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE registry.
To open the JP1/ITDM2 Packager window:

From the Windows Start menu, select JP1_IT Desktop Management 2 - Agent and then Packager.
The Login (Packager) dialog box appears.

Specify the host name or IP address of the management server. If the Packager was previously started by a user who has the necessary permissions to update the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE registry, the name of the server to which that user previously connected is displayed by default.
- Connection port number

Specify the port number of the management server.
- User ID

Specify the user ID of a JP1/IT Desktop Management 2 user account that has both system administration permissions and distribution management permissions.
- Password

Specify the password corresponding to the user ID specified in the User ID field.

After specifying the necessary information, click the OK button.
Connection to the managing server is established, and the JP1/ITDM2 Packager window appears.

File window
This window is used to select the files to be packaged.

Package window
This window displays the packages stored in a cabinet. You can use this window to delete packages or edit the cabinet.
