Add from File button

When you click the Add from File button, the Add Automatic Maintenance Policy dialog box appears. Specify the automatic maintenance policy file that you want to input, and then click Open. Policies are added to the Policy Setup window based on the file contents.

No policies are added from the file if any of the following apply:

  • The file is not in valid XML format

  • The conditions defined for a policy are invalid

  • The file contains a policy with exactly the same settings as an existing policy

A message box will appear giving the reason why the policies cannot be added. Resolve the issue according to the contents of the message.

Note the following when inputting an automatic maintenance policy file:

  • Comments users have entered in the automatic maintenance policy file are erased when the file is input. No comments will be included when the file is output.

  • There is a limit to the number of policies that can be set. This limit depends on the policy type. If you use the Add button in the Policy Setup dialog box to create a policy and the maximum number of policies is reached for that policy type, the system will automatically restrict further policy creation. If the number of policies created in the automatic maintenance policy file exceeds the maximum, an error message will appears when you input the file, and the policies in the automatic maintenance policy file will not be applied. The following table shows the number of permitted policies by policy type:

Output File button

When you click the Output File button, the Output Automatic Maintenance Policy dialog box appears. To output a file, specify the output directory for the file and then click Save.

If you specify an asset management item in a language other than the default in a policy condition, the condition definition is output with the item names and values in the default language.
