4.3.1 Starting Remote Installation Manager
To start Remote Installation Manager:

From the Windows Start menu, select JP1_IT Desktop Management 2 - Manager and then Remote Installation Manager.
The Login (Remote Install Manager) dialog box appears.

Enter the information required to log in to the managing server.
In Management Server, enter the host name or IP address of the management server.
In Connection port number, enter the port number used for incoming connections from the computer used to log in to the management server.
In User ID and Password, enter the ID and password of a user who has system administrator permission and distribution management permissions in JP1/IT Desktop Management 2.
When you start Remote Installation Manager, the window below appears. For details about the function of each menu item, see C. List of menus.

Clicking a button on the toolbar executes the function associated with that button. You can display the function of a button by resting your mouse pointer over the button. You can show or hide the toolbar by selecting Toolbar from the View menu. While the toolbar appears at the top of the window when the system starts, you can drag it to another part of the window.
- Labels

By clicking the labels (column headers) in each window, you can sort the window contents by the column whose label you clicked.
- Status bar

The status bar shows JP1/IT Desktop Management 2 messages. You can show or hide the status bar by selecting Status bar from the View menu.
Operate Remote Installation Manager as a user with administrator privileges (a user who belongs to the Administrators group in Windows).
