1.4.1 Viewing system configuration information

You can view and create system configuration information in the System Configuration window of Remote Installation Manager. The network hierarchy in this window defines the actual routes used for job execution. The following figure shows the System Configuration window:

The left pane of the System Configuration window displays the system hierarchy. The icon representing the managing server () appears at the top of the hierarchy. When you double-click the icon for a relay system (), the icons for managed computers () under that relay system appear.

The host name or IP address of a relay system or managed computer appears beside the corresponding icon.

If you select a resource other than a managed computer in the left pane, the right pane shows the hierarchy under the selected resource.
