2.1 Logging in to JP1/IM - Service Support

The following describes how to display the Login window in your Web browser and log in to JP1/IM - Service Support. Make sure that the language settings of the machine on which JP1/IM - Service Support windows are opened are the same as the language settings of the server on which JP1/IM - Service Support runs.

  1. Open your Web browser and enter the URL of the Login window.

    When you enter the URL of the Login window in your Web browser, the Login window appears. The URL is http://host-name:port-number/jp1ss/index.jsp. As host-name, specify the host where JP1/IM - Service Support is installed. As port-number, specify the port number used for communication with the Web server. The default port number is 24401.

    If JP1/IM - Service Support is installed on a server running Windows Server 2003 or Windows Server 2008, you can also display the Login window from the Start menu by selecting Programs, JP1_Integrated Management - Service Support, and then JP1_IM-SS Login window. If the server is running Windows Server 2012, you can also display the Login window by selecting JP1_IM-SS Login window in the All Apps section of the start screen.

  2. In the Login window, enter your user ID and password.

    User ID

    In the User ID field, enter your user ID using 1 to 64 half-width alphanumeric characters. User IDs are case sensitive.

    Password

    In the Password field, enter your password using 1 to 64 half-width alphanumeric characters, spaces, and symbols. Passwords are case sensitive.

    Users must already be registered to log in from the Login window. In JP1/IM - Service Support, the system management user is registered as a default account. To register users and user information, first log in using this user ID. For details about how to register users, see 3.1 Creating users. For details about the default system management user account, see the description of the system management user (jp1admin user) in the Job Management Partner 1/Integrated Management - Service Support Configuration and Administration Guide.

  3. Click Login.

    If authentication is successful, the main window (Item list) or main window (Item status) of JP1/IM - Service Support appears. You can toggle between these windows by clicking the toggle main windows button in the toolbar of each window.
