10.2.4 Expanding the size of the Item management database

To expand the size of the Item management database:

Execute the jssdbbackup.bat command.

Specify the -maint option as an argument to back up the Item management database. The backup file name is maintA.

Execute the jssdbbackup.bat command.

Specify the -expand option as an argument to back up the Item management database.^{#1, #2} The backup file name is expandA.

Execute the jssdbinit.bat command.

Extend the size of the Item management database.

Execute the jssdbrecovery.bat command.

Specify the -expand option as an argument to restore the backup file (expandA) created in step 2.^{#3, #4}

For details about the jssdbrecovery.bat command, see jssdbrecovery.bat (recovers a database) in Chapter 11. Commands.

#1: If the error message KNAB26102-E appears, correct the cause of the error, and then re-execute the command. If the same error message appears again, execute the jssdbrecovery.bat command with the -maint option specified to restore the backup file (maintA) created in step 1. Then, re-execute the command.
#2: To expand the size of the Item management database from S, M, L, or LL to XL, specify the -o option as an argument. If you specify the -f option, the backup file cannot be restored in step 4.
#3: If the error message KNAB26103-E appears, correct the cause of the error, and then re-execute the command. If the same error message appears again, perform steps 3 and 4 again. If the problem cannot be solved, contact the system administrator.
#4: If you execute the jssdbrecovery.bat command with the -maint option specified to restore the backup file (maintA), the database size will not be expanded.
