POP3 operating environment and notes

A POP3 probe measures the time required for completing reception of email addressed to a specified user.

The following describes and provides notes on a POP3 operating environment.

Email size

The total size of an email for the POP3 probe is the received header plus the message text. There is no limitation to the size of an email that can be acquired.

Deleting emails

Executing deletion deletes all the emails. This means that at the next measurement, the number of emails to be measured would be zero. Therefore, send emails for measurement again before the next measurement occurs.

RFC compliance

For the functions that are not compliance with RFCs and the restrictions, see the above notes.
