3.5.3 Defining measurement conditions

You use PFM - Web Console to define the Web transaction filename, measurement interval, and timeout value for measurement in the measurement condition registration file (esptask.xml) (or you can directly edit the measurement condition registration file to define these settings).

The following describes the measurement items for Web transactions and the items to be defined in the measurement condition registration file.

(1) Measurement items

The following table lists the measurement items for a Web transaction.

(2) Creating the measurement condition registration file (esptask.xml)

To define measurement conditions for a Web transaction, you must create a measurement condition registration file (esptask.xml). For management purposes, a measurement condition ID is assigned to the measurement conditions. The following table describes the items to be defined in the measurement condition registration file as the measurement conditions for a Web transaction.

Table 3-8 Items that can be specified for measurement of a Web transaction

Item	Description
Measurement condition ID	Specifies an identifier for the measurement conditions. Each measurement condition ID must be unique.
Measurement interval	Specifies a measurement interval.
Timeout	Specifies a timeout value for each measurement.
Service-specific conditions	Specifies a Web transaction file name and a Web transaction name.
