- Organization of this page
Format
jpctool config mgrimport -d import-source-directory [-noprogress]
Function
The jpctool config mgrimport command imports a definition information file of the PFM - Manager in a multiple-monitoring environment from a specified directory.
The definition information that can be imported is as follows:
-
Alarm information (alarm and action definitions)
-
Bind information
-
Report definition
-
Business group definition
-
Performance Management user account information (including the information about agent hierarchy [User Agents])
Before importing the definition information, the jpctool config mgrimport command checks whether the definition information specified by the -d option matches that stored in the import-destination directory. For details about checking the definition information, see H. Checking the Definition Information.

Arguments
-d import-source-directory
Specifies the directory that stores the definition information exported by the jpctool config mgrexport command.
For import-source-directory, specify a string of 1 to 35 bytes, consisting of single-byte alphanumeric characters, single-byte space characters, and the symbols shown below.
-_#():/\
You cannot specify a relative path. Always specify an absolute path.
If the directory name that you want to specify includes spaces, enclose the entire name in double quotation marks ("). If you specify any of the following symbols, enclose it in double quotation marks (") to prevent it from being analyzed by a shell or command prompt:
( )
-noprogress
If this option is specified, the command does not output the information on the progress of import processing.
Notes
-
This command requires the version of PFM - Manager on the execution host to be 10-10 or later.
-
This command cannot be executed together with the start or stop command or any other setup command on the same host.
-
This command must be executed in a multiple-monitoring environment.
-
The definition information specified by the -d option must match the definition information stored in the import-source directory. If discrepant definition information is found, a KAVE06142-E message will be output. If this occurs, check the error content, and then re-execute this command.
-
The jpctool config mgrimport command must not be executed concurrently.
-
Before executing this command, you must execute the jpctool config mgrexport command to export the definition information.
-
The versions of the PFM - Manager on the primary host and secondary host must be the same.
-
The PFM - Manager service on the execution host must not be running.
-
Before executing this command, make sure that there is enough disk space available. As a rule of thumb, each of the following drives must have as much available disk space as the space used for the definition information exported by the jpctool config mgrexport command.
-
Drive that includes the directory specified by the -d option
-
Drive that includes the PFM - Manager environment running on the execution host
If the above two drives are located on a single drive, the single drive must have space available that is two times as large as the space used for the definition information to be imported.
-
-
If an error occurs during command execution, a backup file might be left in the PFM - Manager installation directory.
-
If processing is canceled during command execution, the PFM - Manager environment might become invalid.
-
You cannot specify a write-protected medium, such as a CD or DVD, as import-source-directory in the -d option.
-
Do not cancel processing during command execution by pressing Ctrl+C.
