E.2 Uninstalling SNMP Agent from IBM RISC System/6000 SP2 (RS/6000 SP2)

This subsection explains how to remove a copy of SNMP Agent that has been installed on an IBM RISC System/6000 SP2 (RS/6000 SP2) system.

Use the following procedure to remove the program from each node.

Procedure

1. Execute the uninstall shell.

   At each node, execute /etc/.hitachi/remove/remove_112B as a superuser.

   Example:

   # /etc/.hitachi/remove/remove_112B

   The uninstall results are output to /tmp/esa.log.

2. Delete the installation shell and uninstallation shell files.

   Delete the following files on each node:

   • /etc/.hitachi/after/after_112B

   • /etc/.hitachi/before/before_112B

   • /etc/.hitachi/remove/remove_112B

   Example:

   # rm /etc/.hitachi/after/after_112B
   # rm /etc/.hitachi/before/before_112B
   # rm /etc/.hitachi/remove/remove_112B
