24.3.4 Adding seeded discovery

Run the following command to check the accurate list of devices in the NNM database:

ovtopodump > topology.out
From NNM, copy the topology.out (export) file and edit it. Alternatively, re-input the entries in a file for import into NNMi.

For a new file, enter an IP address or host name on each line. Because NNMi automatically determines the subnet mask, you need not specify the subnet mask.

Reference note

Alternatively, you can also use the NNMi console to add a list of nodes.
Run the following command:
```
nnmloadseeds.ovpl -f newSeedfile
```

NNMi immediately begins discovering the devices associated with these seeds, and mounts the existing device profile (as well as node groups such as node groups for status monitoring). NNMi spiral discovery continues.
