10.1.1 Internal mode: Storing all NNMi user information in the NNMi database
NNMi accesses the NNMi database for all user access information, which the NNMi administrator defines and maintains in the NNMi console. The user access information is local to NNMi. NNMi does not access a directory service, and NNMi ignores the ldap.properties file, as indicated by the commented line in the figure below.
The figure below shows the information flow for this option, which is appropriate in the following situations:

The number of NNMi users is small.

No directory service is used.
