3.1.8 Uninstallation

To uninstall JP1/AJS3 - Definition Assistant:

Note that uninstalling JP1/AJS3 - Definition Assistant also uninstalls the environment settings files and data collection tool. If necessary, back up these files before uninstallation.

Organization of this subsection

(1) For Windows XP Professional and Windows Server 2003

The following describes the uninstallation procedure for Windows XP Professional and Windows Server 2003:

  1. As a user who belongs to the Administrators group, log on to the host from which you wish to uninstall JP1/AJS3 - Definition Assistant.

  2. Close the definition information management template if it is open.

  3. From the Windows Control Panel, select Add and Remove Programs.

    A dialog box is displayed in which you can select the program to uninstall.

  4. Select JP1/Automatic Job Management System 3 - Definition Assistant, and click the Add and Remove button.

    A dialog box is displayed, prompting you to confirm deletion of the program.

  5. Click the OK button.

    JP1/AJS3 - Definition Assistant is uninstalled.

  6. Delete the user files created by JP1/AJS3 - Definition Assistant, as well as the JP1/AJS3 - Definition Assistant installation directory, as necessary.

(2) For Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7, Windows Server 2012, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1

The following describes the uninstallation procedure for Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7, Windows Server 2012, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1:

  1. As a user who belongs to the Administrators group, log on to the host from which you wish to uninstall JP1/AJS3 - Definition Assistant.

  2. Close the definition information management template if it is open.

  3. Select Control Panel, Programs, and then Programs and Features.

    A list of programs appears.

  4. From the list of programs, select JP1/Automatic Job Management System 3 - Definition Assistant, and click Uninstall.

    The Programs and Features dialog box appears.

  5. Click the Yes button.

    The User Account Control dialog box appears.

  6. Click Continue.

    JP1/AJS3 - Definition Assistant is uninstalled.

  7. Delete the user files created by JP1/AJS3 - Definition Assistant, as well as the JP1/AJS3 - Definition Assistant installation directory, as necessary.
