Job Management Partner 1 Version 10 Job Management Partner 1/Automatic Job Management System 3 - Print Option

3.4.1 Setting port numbers

This section provides a list of port numbers that need to be set, and describes the direction in which data passes through the firewall.

The port numbers used by JP1/AJS3 - Print Option and JP1/AJS3 - Print Option Manager License are set by default when the product ships. You can change the port numbers to suit the environment in which the product is being used. JP1/AJS3 - Print Option communicates using the TCP/IP protocol.

If you start JP1/AJS3 - Print Option from the JP1/AJS3 - View window, the program sends the job operation information collection request to servers installed with JP1/AJS3 - Print Option Manager License. It then receives the job operation information file as a result and displays the information on the window. This communication uses port numbers.

For details about starting JP1/AJS3 - Print Option from the JP1/AJS3 - View window, see 3.4.2 JP1/AJS3 - View setup and 4.2.2 Displaying the Collecting Job Operation Information window from JP1/AJS3 - View.

The port numbers set in the Services file and the direction in which data passes through the firewall are shown below.
