Terminate unnecessary windows, dialog boxes, and processes, and delete unnecessary files to increase available free space. Then re-execute the operation.
In UNIX, see Release Notes, and check the following items in the kernel parameters:

Maximum number of file descriptors allowed (a limit value related to the file system)
