11.3.13 Registering and activating tools
You can register a tool from JP1/AJS3 - View, as well as activate the registered tool on the host where JP1/AJS3 - View is running.
- Specify from:
- Tool Settings dialog box
- Procedure (for registering a tool)
- To register a tool:
- In the JP1/AJS3 - View window, choose Options, and then Set Tools.
The Tool Settings dialog box appears.
- Click the Add button.
The Tool Entry dialog box appears.
- Specify the following items:
- Entry name text box
Enter the registration name of the startup command.
- Command text box
Enter the command for starting the tool.
- Add to pop-up menu check box
Use this check box to specify whether to start the tool from a pop-up menu. If you select the check box, the registration name appears in the pop-up menu.
- Click the OK button.
The Tool Entry dialog box closes, and the tool is added to Tools list in the Tool Settings dialog box.
- Procedure (for activating a tool)
- To activate a tool:
- In the Tool Settings dialog box's Tools list, select the tool you want to activate.
- Click the Start button.
The tool is activated.
- Supplementary note
- The Tool Settings dialog box is displayed by choosing Options and then Set Tools in any of the following windows:
- JP1/AJS3 - View window (Main window)
- JP1/AJS3 - View window (Summary Monitor window)
- Jobnet Editor window
- Jobnet Monitor window
- Daily Schedule window
- Monthly Schedule window
- Search window
