5.4 Setting a start condition
This section describes how to set a start condition for a jobnet.
To set a start condition:
- In the Jobnet Editor window, display the root jobnet for which a start condition is to be set.
- Select Exclusive edit.
- Choose Edit and then Define Start Condition.
The Define Details - [Start Condition] dialog box appears.
- Select the method for satisfying the start condition.
When you select OR in the Definition page, the jobnet starts when one of the conditions specified in steps 7 to 9 is satisfied.
When you select AND in the Definition page, the jobnet starts when all the conditions specified in steps 7 to 9 are satisfied.
- Click the OK button.
The Define Details - [Start Condition] dialog box closes.
A virtual jobnet for defining the start condition (a jobnet titled .CONDITION) is created and displayed in the tree area.
- Click jobnet .CONDITION.
The map area for jobnet .CONDITION appears.
- Drag the event job icon from the Events tab in the icon list and drop it in the map area.
The Detailed Definition - [event - job] dialog box appears.
- Define attributes of the event job.
- Click the OK button.
The Detailed Definition - [event - job] dialog box is closed.
- Repeat steps 7 to 9 if necessary.
- Cautionary notes
- Only the root jobnet can have a start condition.
- Only one start condition is permitted for the root jobnet. You cannot create more than one start condition.
- Supplementary notes
- You cannot relate the event jobs defined in jobnet .CONDITION.
- To check or change the conditions for satisfying the start condition, which are set in jobnet .CONDITION, choose Edit and then Define Start Condition. When the Define Details - [Start Condition] dialog box appears, check or change the conditions.
- To delete a start condition, choose Edit and then Cancel Start Condition.
