Job Management Partner 1 Version 10 Job Management Partner 1/Automatic Job Management System 3 Overview

5.4.13 Programs that JP1/AJS3 can execute (Windows only)

Jobs started by JP1/AJS3 are executed in the service space. For this reason, interactive programs cannot be executed.

To check whether a program is interactive, execute the program from the Windows task scheduler. If the execution result is not the same when the program is executed from the task scheduler as when the program is executed manually, the program might be interactive.

When you execute a program as a task, confirm the following before starting execution:

For Windows Server 2012 or Windows Server 2008
  • In the properties of the task in which the program is registered, Run whether user is logged on or not is selected.

  • In the properties of the task in which the program is registered, the user specified for When running the task, use the following user account matches the user name of the OS user that executes the job in JP1/AJS3.

For Windows Server 2003
  • In the properties of the Task Scheduler service, Allow service to interact with desktop is cleared.

If Allow service to interact with desktop is selected, clear it, and then restart the Task Scheduler service.

  • In the properties of the task in which the program is registered, Run only if logged on is cleared.

  • In the properties of the task in which the program is registered, the user specified for Run as matches the user name of the OS user that executes the job in JP1/AJS3.

Note that even if a program is interactive, you can execute it as a JP1/AJS3 job by defining a JP1/Script script file as a JP1/AJS3 job and using the NetExec command with the logon space specified to execute the script file. For details, see the manual Job Management Partner 1/Script Description and Reference (For Windows Systems).
