3.4.10 Evaluating error handling

If a failure occurred in JP1/AO, you can use a command (hcmdsgetlogs) to collect logs. The hcmgetlogs command collects a large amount of log information. Therefore, before you execute it, you must estimate the size needed for the logs and check the free disk space on the JP1/AO server. For details about the information that can be collected by using the hcmgetlogs command, see hcmdsgetlogs (collecting log information) in the manual Job Management Partner 1/Automatic Operation GUI, Command, and API Reference.

You should also check the items to be output to the logs and evaluate the size of the log files and their output level. After you have installed JP1/AO, you use a property file (config_user.properties) to specify the items to be output to logs.

You can use the shared built-in service properties to specify the output level of task logs that contain information, including the start and end of tasks and error information. For details about how to specify the output level of debug task logs, see the Job Management Partner 1/Automatic Operation Service Template Developer's Guide.
