1.5 Actions to be taken by the system administrator in the event of a problem during operation

In the event of a problem during operation, see 10. Troubleshooting in the Job Management Partner 1/Integrated Management - Manager Administration Guide, collect log information, and then perform an initial investigation.

To perform an initial investigation into the cause of the problem, see the OS log information (for Windows: Windows event log; for UNIX: system log) and the log information output by JP1/IM. Check the log information that was output around the time that the problem occurred, and either formulate a workaround for the problem or take corrective action to resolve the problem.

Additionally, record the operations and techniques that were used leading up to the occurrence of the problem. At the same time, try to reproduce the problem, if possible.
