2.4.2 Setting up the integrated monitoring database
Create an integrated monitoring database and use Central Console functions to set up the database so you can use it. If you do not plan to use the integrated monitoring database, there is no need to perform this procedure.
The setup procedure differs depending on whether the IM Configuration Management database has already been set up. Apply the following procedures as appropriate depending on the case.

(1) When the IM Configuration Management database has been set up
The setup procedure differs depending on whether you stop IM-Manager Service. The following are the setup procedures for the two cases.

To stop IM-Manager Service and set up the integrated monitoring database:

Stop JP1/IM - Manager Service.

Execute the jcodbsetup command to create an integrated monitoring database.
jcodbsetup -s [-q]

Execute the jcoimdef command to enable the integrated monitoring database.
jcoimdef -db ON

Start JP1/IM - Manager Service.

To set up the integrated monitoring database without stopping IM-Manager Service:

Execute the jcoimdef command to disable the IM Configuration Management service (jcfmain).
jcoimdef -cf OFF

Restart JP1/IM - Manager Service.

Execute the jcodbsetup command to create an integrated monitoring database.
jcodbsetup -s [-q]

Execute the jcoimdef command to enable the integrated monitoring database.
jcoimdef -db ON

Execute the jcoimdef command to enable the IM Configuration Management service (jcfmain).
jcoimdef -cf ON

Restart JP1/IM - Manager Service.
Note that when you execute the jcodbsetup command, the IM database service must be running.

(2) When the IM Configuration Management database has not been set up

jcodbsetup -f setup-information-file-name [-q]

Execute the jcoimdef command to enable the integrated monitoring database.
jcoimdef -db ON

Restart JP1/IM - Manager Service.
