3.4.2 Checking whether unnecessary events are displayed
After you have set additional common exclusion conditions for a filter, check whether any events that you excluded from monitoring are displayed in the event list. The following describes how to verify that an event of severity level Information issued on host A is not displayed in the event list. The following also describes how to verify that an event of severity level Information issued on host 1 is displayed in the event list.
Prerequisites
OS user mapping must be configured according to the procedure in 2.2.1 Using the user mapping feature to map a JP1 user account to an OS user account.
Procedure

In the Event Console window, click the Execute Command button. The Execute Command window appears.

Set the items in the Execute Command window as described below, and then click the Execute button.

Event information to inherit
Clear the Inherit event information check box.
Target host
Enter the following:

Verify that the event of severity level Information issued on host A is not displayed in the event list.

Repeat step 2. Set the items in the Execute Command window as described below, and then click the Execute button.
