2.2.2 Verifying that you can execute a command
The following describes how to check whether you can execute a command from the manager when OS user mapping is configured according to the procedure in section 2.2.1.
Prerequisites
The following conditions must be satisfied:

OS user mapping is configured according to the procedure in 2.2.1 Using the user mapping feature to map a JP1 user account to an OS user account.

The OS user who will execute the jco_spmd_status command (that is, the OS user mapped to the JP1 user by user mapping) has Administrator or root permissions.
Procedure

In the Event Console window, click the Execute Command button. The Execute Command window appears.

In the Command type area, select Command of managed host.

In the Event information to inherit area, clear the Inherit event information check box.

For Target host, specify the host as follows on which the command will be executed:

For Command, enter the jco_spmd_status command as follows to check whether the command can be executed:

In Windows:
"Console-path\bin\jco_spmd_status"

In Linux:
/opt/jp1cons/bin/jco_spmd_status

Click the Execute button.

Verify that the Log area displays the statuses of processes provided by JP1/IM - Manager.
The following shows an example display for when the command is executed in Windows. Note that process IDs and running processes vary depending on the system environment.
