Job Management Partner 1 Version 10 Job Management Partner 1/Base Messages

KAVA7229-W

Monitoring cannot be performed because a connection cannot be established with host-name, which is not receiving stop notifications.

The indicated host cannot be monitored because a connection to the host cannot be established. Because a stop notification event has not been received#, it is impossible to determine whether the host has stopped or failed.

#

Even if a stop notification event was received, this message might also be output if the manager host was restarted after the reception of the notification event. This is because the status of the monitored host retained on the manager host is reset.

To correct the cause of the error, check the environment to make sure that:

  • The network is in the normal status.

  • Both the local host and the host to be monitored use the same IP address version (IPv4 or IPv6).

  • JP1/Base is running on the host to be monitored.

  • The version of JP1/Base installed on the monitored host is 10-00 or later.

  • The health check function is enabled on the monitored host.

If the problem cannot be corrected, use the data collection tool to collect data for the host to be monitored and the monitoring host, and then contact the system administrator.

For details about how to check the IP address version (IPv4 or IPv6), see the description of the jp1ping command in the chapter on commands in the Job Management Partner 1/Base User's Guide.
