2.6.5 Notes on setting a related link
This subsection describes some points to be noted when setting a related link.
-
When a related link is set, the width of the area to display an Operational Content name is halved. If the anchor string set for the related link exceeds the display area for the Operational Content name, the excess characters are omitted and replaced with periods (...). Note that the symbol used to replace omitted characters varies depending on the web browser.
-
The number of characters that can be displayed for a related link varies depending on the width of web browser window and the total number of related links. If the anchor string exceeds the number of characters that can be displayed, the excess characters are omitted and replaced with periods (...).
Note that the symbol used to replace omitted characters varies depending on the web browser.
-
If you enter a string of 50 or more single-byte characters in the Anchor String text box, characters at the end of the tooltip might be omitted and replaced with periods (...). Also, if a single-byte space is inserted in the middle of a character string, the characters after the single-byte space will be displayed on the next line when the character string is displayed.
If you want to display the tooltip without omission of characters, adjust the length of the string displayed on one line by inserting a single-byte space as a delimiter at an appropriate position in the string.
