9.15 npsetup command (setup)
Description
This command sets up Navigation Platform. If you are setting up Navigation Platform that has already been set up, stop Navigation Platform then, before you execute this command, use the npunsetup command to unsetup Navigation Platform. Once the setup is completed, Navigation Platform starts automatically.
Perform the following tasks before you execute this command:
-
If you will be using user authentication or will be changing any port numbers, edit the user setup property file (ucnp_setup_user.properties).
For details, see 8.3 Specifying settings in the user setup property file (ucnp_setup_user.properties).
-
Make sure that the port numbers used during setup are not being used by any other programs.
You can determine the port numbers that are used during setup by checking the user setup property file.
-
Make sure that the installation directory and files of the Navigation Platform subject to setup have not been moved, edited, or deleted since installation.

Notes:
-
When this command is executed, setup is performed for the default user property file (ucnp_user.properties) and user message properties file (ucnp_message_user.properties). Edit these property files only after this command's execution has been completed. If this is a re-setup, we recommend that you make a backup of these existing property files.
For details about the property files, see Chapter 8. Properties.

If setup fails, execute the npunsetup command (unsetup), eliminate the cause of the error, and then re-execute this command.
