Hitachi Navigation Platform Setup and Operations Guide

6.5.2 Importing Operational Contents

This subsection explains how to import Operational Contents that have been exported by the npexport command (export Operational Contents). You can perform import operations in all environments.

To import Operational Contents:

  1. Log in to the machine in the import target environment.

  2. Export the Operational Contents in the import target environment for backup purposes.

For details about the procedure, see 6.5.1 Exporting Operational Contents.

  3. Store in any directory the file that was acquired from the import-source environment by the npexport command.

  4. From the command prompt, execute the npimport command (import Operational Contents) or the nppubimport command (import Published Versions of Operational Contents).

    Example:

    Navigation-Platform-installation-directory\bin\npimport -f -x C:\work\contents.zip

    Navigation-Platform-installation-directory\bin\nppubimport -f -x C:\work\contents.zip

When the command is executed exactly as shown in the example, only information about the Operational Contents contained in the contents.zip file is imported. If an Operational Content with the same ID already exists at the import destination, its contents are overwritten.

Note that this example assumes that a directory server is used for user authentication and it is not desirable to overwrite information about the access permission groups.

For details about the import command, see 9.10 npimport command (import Operational Contents) and 9.13 nppubimport command (import Published Versions of Operational Contents).
