5.13 Settings for linking to other JP1 products

Before you can link your Navigation Platform with other JP1 products by using a JP1 Link Plugin, you must complete the following preparations:

• Employ a system configuration that uses JP1/Base for user authentication.

• Use the same user authentication block as for JP1/Base, a JP1 product to be linked.

• Set the JP1 permission level needed to operate the linked JP1 products for the JP1 users who will be running Operational Contents using the JP1 Link Plugin.

  For details about the JP1 permission level needed to use other JP1 products, see each product's documentation.

• Specify settings, including environment variables and JP1/Base settings, for the JP1 products that will be linked.

• In Navigation Platform's user property file (ucnp_user.properties), specify required values for the properties that are related to the JP1 Link Plugin.

  You can link to the following JP1 products:

  • JP1/IM 10-10 or later

  • JP1/IM-SS 10-10 or later

  • JP1/AO 10-52 or later
