2.1.1 What you can do in an Operational Content Execution Window

An Operational Content Execution Window is shown in the following figure.

You can do the following in an Operational Content Execution Window:

• Understand operational procedures by referring to the Operational Flow

• Execute operations while referring to the explanations in the Guides

• Execute operations while displaying data such as JP1 event information in the Navigation Platform window (if you are using System Plugins)

• Execute operations while entering the data required by an external program in the Navigation Platform window (if you have developed a User Plugin to link to the program)

• Search the Operational Content

• Use the Reporting window to analyze operations

An Operational Content Execution Window can be customized to suit your requirements. The following figure shows an example of an Operational Content Execution Window that has been customized as described below.

• Change the header logo, menu area, header links, and color and design of components

  By changing properties in the user property file (ucnp_user.properties), you can change visual features of the window, such as the header logo or the design and color of the components that appear in the Operational Flow. You can also add links in the header for where users can get help for operations.

  For details about the settings in the user property file, see 8.5 Specifying settings in the user property file (ucnp_user.properties).

• Display links to websites

  If there are websites that are referenced frequently while executing operations, you can display links to those sites by adding related links. For details about how to set related links, see the Hitachi Navigation Platform Content Editing Guide.

  Reference note

  • The Navigation Platform login window can also be customized by configuring settings in the user property file (ucnp_user.properties).

  • You can also develop new windows separate from an Operational Content Execution Window and use them by linking them to the Operational Content Execution Window.
