Several new JDBC SQL types have been added to the JDBC2.1 Core API. Although the following JDBC SQL types have been added, the JDBC driver cannot use them:

• BLOB
• CLOB
• ARRAY
• REF
• DISTINCT
• STRUCT
• JAVA OBJECT
