(1) Restoring all RDAREAs

This example restores all RDAREAs to the point when the last backup was made:

 
pdrstr -m c:\sysarea\rdsys011\mast01 -b c:\hirdb\pdrstr\backup01 
-p c:\hirdb\pdrstr\list01 -a
 

Explanation
-m: Specifies the name of the first HiRDB file in the master directory RDAREA.
-b: Specifies the name of the backup file.
-p: Specifies the output file name for the database recovery utility process results listing.
-a: Specifies that all RDAREAs are to be restored.

(2) Restoring all RDAREAs from a backup on DAT

This example restores all RDAREAs to the point when the last backup was made, using the backup made to a file on DAT.

 
pdrstr -m c:\sysarea\rdsys011\mast01 -b \\.\tape 
-p c:\hirdb\pdrstr\list01 -a
 

Explanation
-m: Specifies the name of the first HiRDB file in the master directory RDAREA.
