2.2.4 Notes after installation

  1. For a HiRDB/Parallel Server, or for a HiRDB/Single Server that is using the system switchover facility, you must specify the following:
    • Service startup identifier: Automatic
    • Logon account used for executing the service: See the operating system documentation for details about how the HiRDB administrator specifies this.
  2. After installing HiRDB, be sure to restart Windows.
  3. When HiRDB is installed, the tmp directory is created immediately below the installation drive. This directory is used by HiRDB; do not delete it.
  4. Shift JIS Kanji (SJIS) has been set as the character codes used by HiRDB.
