You can cut objects (activities, connections, fault connections, and link connections) on the canvas. The objects that can be cut are the same as those that can be copied. For details, see 1.11.1 Copying objects.

To cut an object:

1. Select the object to be cut.
   When cutting a connection, select the connection-source and connection-target activities as well. If you do not also select the connection-source and connection-target activities, you cannot cut the connection.
   
2. Use one of the following cut methods:
   
   • Select and right-click the object, and choose Cut.
   • Press CTRL + X.
