12.1 Checking failure information by messages

JP1/Software Distribution Client outputs a failure message if it detects a failure. There are two types of failure messages: One is directly output to the place where the user is located, and the other is output to the syslog file. In addition, JP1/Software Distribution Client stores detailed failure messages in message log files separately from failure messages stored in the syslog file.

For failure causes and corrective actions, see 13. Messages. If you cannot identify the failure cause from the messages, see 12.3 Acquiring failure information and use the necessary commands to collect detailed failure information.
