rdsma

The rdsma command monitors for a distribution job.

Description

This command monitors for a distribution job existing on the managing server. You can specify a period of intervals of monitoring for a distribution job in WatchTimeofOrders in the settings file. JP1/Software Distribution Client monitors for a distribution job at intervals of the period specified in this operand.

Format

rdsma{-a[-hhost-file-name][-mmanaging-host-name]|-q}

Options

-a
Starts monitoring for a distribution job.

-hhost-file-name ~ <alphanumeric characters, hyphens, or underscores> ((1 to 20 characters))
When you want to check for a distribution job to a system outside of the managing server specified in the settings file, specify the host file name of the managing server for the system.
If you omit this parameter, JP1/Software Distribution Client monitors for a distribution job on the managing server specified in the settings file.

-mmanaging-host-name ~ <alphanumeric characters, hyphens, or underscores> ((1 to 255 characters))
When you want to check for a distribution job from a relay system under another relay system to a system outside of the upper-level relay system specified in the settings file, specify the host name or IP address of that system that is a different relay system.
If you omit this parameter, JP1/Software Distribution Client monitors for a distribution job on the upper-level relay system specified in the settings file.
This system is effective only for a relay system under another relay system.

-q
Stops monitoring for a distribution job.
