rdsdlv

The rdsdlv command displays distribution status.

Description

  1. Displays the distribution status.
  2. Deletes the distribution status.

Format

  1. Displaying the distribution status
    • For systems other than HP-UX
    rdsdlv{-c|-l}
    [-a distribution-destination-name[distribution-destination-name...]]
    [-e distribution-status[distribution-status...]]
    [-r full-package-ID[full-package-ID...]]
    [-n serial-job-number-in-managing-server[serial-job-number-in-
    managing-server...]]
    • For HP-UX
    /opt/NETMDMWEX1/bin/rdsdlv {-c|-l}
    [-a distribution-destination-name[distribution-destination-name...]]

  2. Deleting the distribution status

Options

-a distribution-destination-name
In distribution-destination-name, specify the name of a distribution-destination system you want to display or delete.

-c
Specify this option when you want a simplified display of distribution status. The following items are displayed:
  • Distribution destination name
  • Packager type code
  • Cabinet ID
  • Package ID
  • Version
  • Generation number
  • Job type
  • Installation timing
  • Installation method
  • Distribution status
    The distribution status has the following options:
    KEEPING: The job file was successfully received.
    KEEP: The package was successfully stored.
    KEEP-ERROR: Storing the package failed.
    CLT-START: The client successfully started.
    CLT-START-ERROR: Starting the client failed.
    INS-WAIT: The package is waiting to be installed.
    INS-REFUSE: The package was refused.
    GEN-START: The generator started.
    COMPLETE: Execution completed.
    ERROR: Execution failed.
    SETUP-ERROR: Setup failed.
    LINE-DOWN: A communication error occurred.

-d
Specify this option when you want to delete the contents of the distribution status file.

-e distribution-status
Use one of the following alphabetic characters to specify the distribution status to be displayed or deleted.

R
Completion of receiving a job file (KEEPING)

K
Completion of storing a package (KEEP)

P
Failure to store a package (KEEP-ERROR)

C
Completion of activating a client (CLT-START)

L
Failure to activate a client (CLT-START-ERROR)

I
Waiting for installation (INS-WAIT)

D
Rejecting installation (INS-REFUSE)

G
Activating a generator (GEN-START)

F
Execution completed (COMPLETE)

E
Execution failed (ERROR)

S
Setup failed (SETUP-ERROR)

T
Communication error occurred (LINE-DOWN)

-l
Specify this option when you want a detailed display of distribution status. When you specify this option, the following items can be displayed in addition to the items you can display using the -c option:
  • Execution status
  • Serial job number in the managing server
  • Prerequisite version of the installed package

-n serial-job-number-in-managing-server
In serial-job-number-in-managing-server, specify the serial number, in the managing server, for the job you want to display or delete.

-r full-package-ID
In full-package-ID, specify the full package ID for the package you want to display or delete. The format of full package IDs is: packager-type-code.group-name.package-ID.version/revision.generation-number

Display format

End code

End code Meaning
0 Terminated normally.
1 Interface is incorrect. Alternatively, the user who issued the command is not a superuser.
2 System error occurred.
99 Command processing terminated because of signal reception.
253 Access error of the distribution situation file occurred.
254 The distribution status server facility does not run.
255 Error other than the above occurred.

Note

Execute the rdsdlv command when the distribution status server facility is running.
