rdsatrup

The rdsatrup command registers a collection-information file.

Description

This command registers a collection-information file on the managing server.

Format

Options

-fcollection-information-file-name ~ ((1 to 128 characters))
Specify the name of a collection-information file.

-hhost-file-name or host-name

host-file-name
When registering the collection-information file according to the attribute setting specified in a host file, specify the name of the host file.
If you specify option -m, specify the host file of the relay system specified in the -m option. If you specify the host file name parameter from a UNIX machine connected to a relay system that is directly connected to the managing server, specify the host file of that relay system.

host-name
If the rdsatrup command is executed from a system for which the operating environment is not set, specify the host name of the managing server (UNIX JP1/Software Distribution Manager).

-mmanaging-host-name
If the file transits two or more relay systems before being registered on the managing server, specify the host name of the relay system that is directly connected to the managing server.
You need not specify a managing host name if you are registering the package from one of the following machines:
  • Relay system that is directly connected to the managing server
  • UNIX machine connected to a relay system that is directly connected to the managing server
  • End workstation

-Nservice-name
In service-name, specify the service name for the managing server with which you want to register the collection-information file. You must specify a service name if the managing server uses the Multi-Software Distribution function.

-Pcollection-script-file-name
If you use a collection script file for collection from a distribution-destination system of Windows, specify the absolute pathname of the collection script file as the file name. If STANDARD is specified for CollectType of the collection-information file, the specification of the -P option is invalid.

End code

End code Meaning
0 Terminated normally.
1 The user who issued the command is not a superuser.
2 The collection-information file is invalid.
3 File I/O error occurred.
4 File transfer error occurred.
5 Options are incorrect.
6 The collection script file is invalid.
99 Command processing terminated because of signal reception.

Note

You cannot use this command for the Windows version of managing server.
