6.10.1 How to create the backup directory

Only the superuser (root) can create the backup directory. Log in as a superuser to create the backup directory. Set one of the following as the directory name:

• For systems other than HP-UX:/NETMRDS/BACKUP/
• For HP-UX:/var/opt/NETMDMW/BACKUP/

Use the following commands to create the backup directory:

cd /NETMRDS
mkdir BACKUP
chmod o-rx BACKUP
