6.8.1 File name for the operating-environment settings file

You can copy the sample file provided by JP1/Software Distribution Client to create the operating-environment settings file. The following shows the names of the sample file and the file to be created for the operating-environment settings:

Sample file

For systems other than HP-UX: /NETMRDS/buff/profile.txt

For HP-UX: /etc/opt/NETMDMW/buff/profile.txt

File to be created for the operating-environment settings

For systems other than HP-UX: /NETMRDS/buff/.profile

For HP-UX: /etc/opt/NETMDMW/buff/.profile

To enable a setting item in the model file, delete the pound sign (#) prefixed to the item so that the item begins at column 1.
