6.7.2 Example of changing the language

The following example shows how to set the language in the Japanese environment. When you write the following in /etc/rc (/etc/TIMEZONE for HP-UX and Solaris), the third line is not necessary.

LANG=C
TZ=JST-9
export LANG TZ
