Job Management Partner 1/Software Distribution Client Description and User's Guide
Before using the distributor tools, you must create management files. This requires disk space for creating the management files in the host. The following shows how to estimate the disk space requirement for each management file.
Note that the files described in (1), (2) and (3) below are also used as files for the client services.

(1) Package storehouse (temporary package storehouse)
The package storehouse is a file for storing the packages to be distributed and the installation script files. The package storehouse is also used as the temporary package storehouse of the client services. It stores the packages registered from the packager and the packages distributed from the upper-level distribution-destination system.
You can set the maximum number of packages the temporary package storehouse can store for each group. For details on how to set the maximum number of packages the temporary package storehouse can store for each group, see 6.8 Configuring the operating-environment settings file.
(2) Package attribute file
This file stores the package names, package sizes and other attributes of the packages registered in the package storehouse. This file is also used as the package attribute file of the client services.
(3) Package management file
This file stores the management information for cabinets. This file is also used as the package management file of the client services.
(4) Job management file
This file contains and manages jobs. Be sure to create this file directly in the root directory.
(5) Settings file
This file sets the operating environment of the distributor tools. The disk space requirement for this file differs depending on the user but is about one kilobyte.
(6) Operation information files
The job file and the GUI information saving file are generically called operation information files.

- This file stores the job attributes for managing the jobs to be registered for one distribution.
(7) Message log file
Increasing the maximum number of messages in a message log file requires the following amount of disk space in the relay system.
