5.2.1 Job status types

At the job management file of JP1/Software Distribution Client, the job status from the time a job is received until the time its execution is completed is managed. Table 5-2 shows the job statuses managed in JP1/Software Distribution Client and their meanings.

Table 5-2 Job status of JP1/Software Distribution Client distributor tools

Job status Message display Meaning

Waiting WAIT Status from the time the job is registered until the distribution-destination system receives it.

Executing EXEC Status from the time the distribution-destination system receives a job until the processing based on that job is completed.

Deleting DELETE The distribution-destination system has received a job, and job deletion is requested and being performed.

Completed COMPLETE Processing is completed and the distribution and installation of the package is completed normally.

Error ERROR After the distribution-destination system obtained a job, an error occurred during processing based on the job.

Waiting installation INS-WAIT Status from the time the distribution of packages with the installation timing set is completed until the installation.

Installation failed SETUP-ERROR A setup error occurred in a distributed program product after that product was installed.

Startup failed EXEC-ERROR The relay system failed to start the distribution-destination system.

Communication error occurred LINE-DOWN A communication error occurred during file transfer from the relay system to the distribution-destination system.

Distribution job with Group ID invalid ID-INVALID While the distribution job with an ID group specified in the distribution-destination system was being saved, the applicable package was deleted from the package storehouse.
