This subsection provides notes on executing a distribution job of the UNIX version of another company's software.
(a) Options that cannot be specified when a distribution job is executed
When you use the rdsafind command to register or execute a distribution job for the UNIX version of another company's software, do not specify the following options:
- -t installation-date/time
- -f installation-target-directory-name
- -o installation-target-directory-owner
- -g installation-target-directory-group
- -m installation-target-directory-mode
- -P installation-script-file-name
- -I prerequisite-version
(b) Settings that must be specified on the distribution-destination systems
When a distribution job for the UNIX version of another company's software is executed, one of the standard OS installation commands shown in Table 2-10 is executed on the distribution-destination systems. The command must be placed in the directory shown in Table 2-10.
