This appendix describes the procedure for starting and stopping Embedded RDB. When executing an Asset Information Manager task in a 64-bit OS, you must execute it using the 32-bit command prompt. For the execution procedure, see F(2) Notes on executing commands and tasks in a 64-bit OS.
You can start Embedded RDB by executing jamemb_dbstart.bat as a user with administrator permissions.
The function, format, and return values of jamemb_dbstart.bat are explained below.
jamemb_dbstart.bat is stored in the following folder:
Asset-Information-Manager-installation-folder\exe
Starts Embedded RDB.
jamemb_dbstart.bat
Returns the following return values:
Return value | Description |
---|---|
0 | Normal termination |
101 | Error occurred during processing. |
You can stop Embedded RDB by executing jamemb_dbstop.bat as a user with administrator permission.

Before stopping Embedded RDB, use the asset management server to stop Asset Information Manager services, commands, and tasks.
Stop the Asset Information Manager services in the order indicated below:
To run Asset Information Manager after having stopped Embedded RDB by executing jamemb_dbstop.bat, start the services in the reverse order of the order in which they were stopped.
