Besides the linkage programs products described as the prerequisite programs, the following programs can be linked to the asset management system and used for operation:
- JP1/IM - Manager
JP1/IM - Manager is a product that achieves integrated management of an entire corporate information system.
Linked with JP1-series products that manage diverse system operations, JP1/IM - Manager uses JP1 events to achieve integrated management of the events that occur in the system. In the event of an error, JP1/IM - Manager promptly notifies the administrator and provides the infrastructure for operations needed to locate the error and investigate its cause.
Asset Information Manager can share information about JP1 events that are managed by JP1/IM - Manager and manage the events that have occurred in the asset management system.
For an overview of the JP1/IM - Manager functions, see the manual Job Management Partner 1/Integrated Management - Manager System Configuration and User's Guide.
- JP1/Base
JP1/Base provides the basic functions of JP1/IM - Manager.
By using the JP1/Base functions, you can mange the events (JP1 events) that are reported when they occur in the system and exchange JP1 events with other hosts.
Asset Information Manager uses the functions provided by JP1/Base 07-00 or later to transfer JP1 events managed by JP1/IM - Manager.
For details about the functions of JP1/Base, see the manual Job Management Partner 1/Base User's Guide.
- HP NNM Version 7.5 or earlier
HP NNM Version 7.5 or earlier provides a function for managing, from a single graphical network display window, multiple systems and applications that are linked via network.
Asset Information Manager can periodically import the node information acquired by HP NNM Versions 6 through 7.5 to the asset management database using Windows Task Scheduler.
Also, the network location of devices managed by Asset Information Manager can be referenced from maps.
In addition, you can view Asset Information Manager information from the Submap Window and Network Presenter of HP NNM Version 7.5 or earlier.
For details about the functions of HP NNM Version 7.5 or earlier, see the manual HP NNM.
