Job Management Partner 1/Automatic Job Management System 3 Linkage Guide
Register users who request JP1/NQSEXEC to execute jobs and users who are requested by JP1/NQSEXEC to execute jobs.
Which users will be registered depends on how jobs will be executed (i.e., by defining QUEUE jobs in jobnets to request job executions, by using job execution commands to request job executions, or by setting JP1/NQSEXEC to request job executions). The following describes the procedure for each registration method.
- Organization of this subsection
- (1) Defining the QUEUE job to request job executions
- (2) Using job execution commands to request job executions
- (3) Setting JP1/NQSEXEC to request job executions
(1) Defining the QUEUE job to request job executions
When jobs are executed by defining QUEUE jobs in a jobnet, the users who requested the jobs become the JP1 users.
To manage jobs for JP1/NQSEXEC, register in advance the names of the JP1 users with the JP1/NQSEXEC host.
The following figure shows the user information required for a job execution by defining a QUEUE job.
- JP1/AJS3 - Manager host
- Register a JP1 user.
- JP1/NQSEXEC host
- Register the JP1 user who requests the job.
(2) Using job execution commands to request job executions
When jobs are executed by using job execution commands (beginning with jpq), the users requesting jobs are OS users who run the programs that issue these commands.
To manage jobs for JP1/NQSEXEC, register the OS users who execute the commands with the JP1/NQSEXEC host beforehand.
Be sure to type the OS user names accurately with regard to uppercase and lowercase letters. When you request job executions to JP1/AJS3 - Manager, you should specify the OS user names with all lowercase letters.
The following figure shows the user information required to request job executions using job execution commands.
- JP1/AJS3 - Manager host
- None (OS user information applied)
- JP1/NQSEXEC host
- Register the OS user who requests the job.
(3) Setting JP1/NQSEXEC to request job executions
Register users who request job execution as JP1 users with the authentication server in JP1/AJS3 - Manager on the side where those users requested execution. For details about how to register JP1 users, see 3.1.1 Setting up JP1/Base in the Job Management Partner 1/Automatic Job Management System 3 Configuration Guide 1 for a Windows host, or 12.1.1 Setting up JP1/Base in the Job Management Partner 1/Automatic Job Management System 3 Configuration Guide 1 for a UNIX host.
