5.5 Checking the preceding and succeeding relations between units

This section describes how to check the preceding and succeeding relations for the jobs defined in a jobnet or for jobnets.

(1) Checking the preceding job or jobnet

To check the preceding job or jobnet:

  1. In the Jobnet Editor window, in the map area, click the base job or jobnet.
    The icon of the job or jobnet you clicked is now selected.
  2. Choose View, Highlighted Display, and then Only Preceding.
    The base job or jobnet, the immediately preceding job or jobnet, and the relation line between the base unit and the immediately preceding unit are highlighted in the specified colors. The jobs and jobnets other than the base unit and the preceding unit, and the relation lines other than the one between the base unit and the preceding unit are not highlighted.
    To change the highlight colors, use the Preferences dialog box.

(2) Checking the succeeding job or jobnet

To check the succeeding job or jobnet:

  1. In the Jobnet Editor window, in the map area, click the base job or jobnet.
    The icon of the unit you clicked is now selected.
  2. Choose View, Highlighted Display, and then Only Succeeding.
    The base job or jobnet, the immediately succeeding job or jobnet, and the relation line between the base unit and the immediately succeeding unit are highlighted in the specified colors. The jobs and jobnets other than the base unit and the succeeding unit, and the relation lines other than the one between the base unit and the succeeding unit are not highlighted.
    To change the highlight colors, use the Preferences dialog box.

(3) Checking both the preceding and succeeding jobs or jobnets

To check both the preceding and succeeding jobs or jobnets:

  1. In the Jobnet Editor window, in the map area, click the base job or jobnet.
    The icon of the unit you clicked is now selected.
  2. Choose View, Highlighted Display, and then Preceding and Succeeding.
    The base job or jobnet, the immediately preceding and succeeding jobs or jobnets, and the relation lines between the base unit and the immediately preceding and succeeding units are highlighted in the specified colors. The jobs and jobnets other than the base unit and the preceding and succeeding units, and the relation lines other those between the base unit and the preceding and succeeding units are not highlighted.
    To change the highlight colors, use the Preferences dialog box.

Supplementary note
When a job is double-clicked in the list area, different colors can be used to highlight the preceding and succeeding jobs or jobnets, and the relation lines between the base unit and the preceding and succeeding units. For details, see 11.5.9 Changing the operation performed when a unit in the list area is double-clicked.

(4) Canceling highlighting

To cancel highlighting, in the Jobnet Editor window, choose View, Highlighted Display, and then Release.
